Secret to those online surveys?

I’m a huge freebie fan, and I always see these sites that claim, "We’ll send you this and that if you complete these offers". Okay, now I’ve tried to do this, but it’s so long and tedious and I always just end up wasting like 30 minutes on something because they require a credit card number or something like that. I’m only 16 but I lie about my age on the surveys and say I’m 19 (who doesn’t?). Are these surveys really free, because I hear so many people RAVE about them. Is it just me that these things don’t work for? How can I get around putting a credit card number in? I really do want to do the surveys, but how do I complete the offers that are really free. My dad would get pissed if he got a bill for some crap that no one here needs. Plus, I’ve heard of Cashcrate.com and treasuretrooper.com and sites like that, but are they really worth the time, or is there some secret to doing these surveys that I’m totally clueless about? Please help…
